Alexandra Margo Sholler, known professionally as Alison Wonderland, is an Australian electronic dance music DJ, producer and vocalist. Vanity Fair said the character of Tolman, "calmly" and "assuredly", stole the show. Tolman won the Critics' Choice Television Award for her performance in the category Best Supporting Actress in the category of Films/Miniseries. Also to that, her nominations for Best Actress were received at the Emmy Awards as well as the Golden Globes. In the same season, the news announced Tolman would have a two-episode appearance on the Mindy Project as Abby Berman, a romance writer. The year 2015 was the last time she had an supporting part in Michael Dougherty's comedy horror film Krampus. Tolman, who had a breakout part in Fargo she resisted the roles of wives, mothers and close friends to focus on a role that was more distinctive. Tolman was a part of the ABC drama series Downward Dog in 2017, inspired by Animal Media Group's web series. It was cancelled after one season. Tolman played in ABC's Emergence drama, which debuted on 24 September 2019 but was pulled by ABC following one year of airing at the 21st of May in 2020 despite Tolman posting on Twitter that the ratings were "pretty decent".
